Or I mean just wait if you really don’t want to spend that you’ll likely be able to get it on sale several months later. Even still it hasn’t gone down in price, and I suspect it might not through the holiday season.

You might need premium. Rift Apart has been on PS Plus since May or June. I don't know if it will leave PS Plus, but it's worth it playing.

Rift Apart exposes a lot of new story material for its length, so I sincerely hope Insomniac is playing the long game here and has quite the future line-up for hashing out the story.
