WEBJan 28, 2010 · IMO, you are better off with two seperate pieces. Sitka soft shells (90%/Jetstream/Stratus) are coated with a DWR finish that will block a passing shower, but not a full on deluge. My favorite soft shell is also the Jetstream. If you want packable rain gear, you want the new Dewpoint. Last edited: Sep 19, 2012.

Sitka versus Badlands clothing - Hunt Talk
WEBFeb 2, 2016 · The Sitka also works a lot better than badlands in crappy weather conditions, blowing snow, rain and when the weather changes while hunting. The badlands stuff is cheaper but you can’t beat having a jacket that blocks the wind and pants that keep your backside from getting wet while waiting in your stand.

WEBJan 14, 2024 · Kuiu pants, better design (leg vents etc.) and fit for my body build. Sitka jackets mainly due to shoulder size (3xl) is roomier in many sitka jackets than kuiu's layer fit. I wish all kuiu jackets were there outer layer fit size that they didnt have 2 different cut sizes.

WEBFeb 21, 2011 · No matter who makes it. And, Sitka does make waterproof clothing that is excellent. So, you probably have to answer the "Worth the money" question yourself. Few will argue that it is high quality gear. Just a function of whether or not you need new gear, and whether or not it fits your application. Good luck.
