A man has pleaded guilty in a wild scheme to steal 123 handguns by kidnapping the manager of a Michigan sporting goods store.

Darnell Bishop, 33, of Benton Harbor, pleaded guilty in April in U.S District Court in Grand Rapids to charges of kidnapping and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. Bishop faces up to life in prison upon sentencing.

The second man involved in the kidnapping of a Dunham’s Sports manager last year pleaded guilty. Darnell Bishop, 33, pleaded guilty to one count of kidnapping and one count of brandishing a gun.
