All Galaxy owners should install this update as soon as possible—but there’s a major issue lurking behind the release.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 leaks and rumors aren't showing any signs of stopping – ahead of an official launch expected in January 2025 – and the most recent sneak preview of this series comes courtesy of three phone case leaks.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 is slated to come with a few different upgrades including the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra may come with a new 50MP ultrawide camera lens. All three phones may grow slightly as well, by around 0.1 inches, which would put the S25 Ultra around the same size as the larger iPhone 16 Pro Max.

To put that in perspective, the average single-core score achieved by the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is 2,137, and the average multi-core result is 6,680, so the scores shown in this Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra benchmark are massively higher.

In fact, it already did a dry run with the Galaxy A55 that is its first phone to support the Seamless Update option. According to a reliable leakster, Samsung will indeed bring the faster, safer, seamless Android update option to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra, making them its first flagship phones to support it.

It's likely that the Galaxy S25 will run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset when the new phones arrive next year. And that could be the most important change Samsung makes to its phones.
