Wesley Fofana has come out in defence of France captain Kylian Mbappé after reports emerged that the Real Madrid forward had been in a nightclub in Sweden on the night of his team's UEFA Nations League win over Israel.

Kylian Mbappe said Monday he was the victim of "fake news" after a Swedish newspaper reported an investigation had been opened for rape following a visit by the Real Madrid star's entourage to Stockholm.

Paris Saint-Germain have hit out at Kylian Mbappe after the Real Madrid forward insinuated that the French club are spreading false stories about him. On Monday, Swedish media reported that police are investigating a suspected rape that allegedly took place last Thursday at the same hotel which Mbappe and his entourage stayed at in central Stockholm.
