It's official -- your household can now order free, at-home COVID-19 test kits from the United States Postal Service, a U.S. government website dedicated to the free kits said Thursday.

A new round of free at-home covid-19 tests officially began shipping this week. Each household can request four free tests via mail through covidtests.gov, the Biden administration announced, according to the the Washington Post.

All households in West Virginia are eligible to receive four free over-the-counter COVID-19 tests. Officials said these tests are especially important as the holiday season approaches and cases of many respiratory viruses are on the rise.

Now, the government is once again offering free COVID tests to help you prepare for what’s ahead. This is the seventh round of distribution of free COVID-19 tests, allowing households to save money and be prepared to detect the virus if they happen to develop symptoms.

Through COVIDTests.gov, you can order up to four free COVID-19 tests per household, shipped at no cost to you. No payment or shipping fees are required. The tests are provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response.
