Kroger finalized a $1.37 billion settlement in connection with the grocery chain’s role in the U.S. opioid crisis, Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford said.

Supermarket chain Kroger has finalized a nearly $1.4 billion agreement to settle the majority of the claims made by states, counties and Native American tribes that accused the company of helping fuel the opioid epidemic.

Kroger, the parent company of Ralphs, agreed to pay up to $122 to California to resolve allegations that it failed to adequately monitor opioids distributed by its pharmacies.
