The Tishomingo Public Schools superintendent said the actions of the six high school students don't reflect the values of the community.

“This week, Tishomingo Public Schools was made aware of an incident involving a small number of high school students who made an extremely poor decision by displaying a disrespectful and very inappropriate racial slur while on campus,” the statement read.

A high school in Oklahoma has canceled its Homecoming celebrations after a photo emerged of several students spelling out a racial slur.

The Oklahoman newspaper reports that the Tishomingo High School homecoming football game, scheduled for Friday night against Antlers High, has been canceled by the Tishomingo Public Schools superintendent after six Tishomingo students appeared in a photo displaying a racial slur on social media.
