Six people have been killed by uprooted trees and more than 200,000 have been affected as tropical storm Bebinca swept through the Philippines, the country's disaster agency said on Sunday.

In Vietnam, nine people died when the typhoon made landfall Saturday, and at least 55 others have died during the floods and landslides that followed.

The tropical storm, with windspeeds over 198 kilometers per hour, has led to several deaths in the Philippines areas of Malabang and Zamboanga, as well as displacing around 13,000 people. All flights at Shanghai's two major airports have been canceled.
