Richard Gadd, the creator of the hit Netflix limited series “Baby Reindeer,” based on real events from the comedian’s life, became a surprise sensation at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards despite the $170 million defamation lawsuit the show is currently facing.

Netflix drama series Baby Reindeer continues to prove itself a huge hit for the streamer, as it won four Emmy Awards - for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Outstanding Writing for Richard Gadd, Outstanding Lead Actor for Gadd and Outstanding Supporting Actress for Jessica Gunning.

Gadd beat Hamm, as well as Matt Bomer, Tom Hollander and Andrew Scott, to win outstanding actor in a limited series or movie category at the 76th annual Emmys
