A wildfire started late Friday morning in an open space area near the National Center for Atmospheric Research office in Boulder. NCAR has been closed as a precaution.

Multiple agencies are responding to a wildfire at NCAR, according to Boulder police. Police have asked that the public do not call dispatch. Smoke from the fire is visible. According to a post from Mountain View Fire, no structures are threatened at this time.

The Dinosaur fire burning on four acres of land in Boulder’s Flatirons was 35% contained Saturday, according to fire officials.

Crews are responding to the Dinosaur Fire in the open space near the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder.

The fire was reported to be between three and five acres as of 1:20 on Friday. All trails in the area were closed as crews worked to extinguish the fire. Three air assets were in route to the fire, and The Boulder Office of Disaster Management said the fire appeared to be slow moving.
