Paramount+ has announced that Paramount Pictures’ A Quiet Place: Day One, the edge-of-your-seat thrill ride that explores the chilling origins of this horror phenomenon, will stream exclusively on the service beginning Tuesday, August 27, in the U.S. and Canada.

The prequel to the post-apocalyptic Quiet Place movies will begin streaming on Paramount+ Tuesday. A Quiet Place: Day One stars Lupita Nyong'o as Sam, a hospice patient who is in New York City when sound-hunting aliens invade the city.

The film has been a major box office success, earning over $261 million globally. When it was released in theaters in late June, it achieved nearly $100 million in its opening weekend, setting a new record for the franchise.
