Jr NTR, known for his role in the global hit RRR, had previously shared his admiration for Vetrimaaran’s unique filmmaking style during a promotional event for his upcoming film Devara: Part I.

Tollywood actor Jr NTR expressed his wish to collaborate with Tamil director Vetrimaaran on a straight Tamil film, suggesting it could be dubbed in Telugu later. Vetrimaaran confirmed their meeting and shared that they discussed potential ideas but noted that both have current commitments to fulfill before proceeding.

Days after Jr NTR openly proclaimed a desire to work with filmmaker Vetrimaaran, the latter finally responded to the same.

September 27 is a big date for fans of Jr NTR as well as Telugu cinema. Devara, one of the biggest Tollywood projects on the cards, will finally be seeing through its theatrical release. The film will mark actor Jr NTR's much-awaited return to the screens.

Part 1' was canceled due to safety concerns. Heavy rains and an uncontrollable crowd made it unsafe. The event was scheduled close to Ganesh Nimarjanam. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film is set to release on September 27.
