I expect by the time 16GB makes a tangible difference, you would want to upgrade the iPad already for faster chipset, new features, etc.

I have and know several others that have the 11" M1 and can tell you that you are very much in the minority with 4 hrs or less unless you have 100% brightness on and are on some magical futuristic website that is running 20 4k videos.

I still would get one, maybe the viewing angles aren’t as darn good as the IPS LCD M2 iPad Pro, but overall it is a better iPad Pro in all regards. Except if you really use the ultra wide camera.
